Housing and Meals

UH Dormitory

EducationUSA Academy students will stay in Frear Hall, the newest UH Mānoa dormitory. Each student will have a private or double bedroom with a twin bed, desk, and chair within a shared unit. The bathroom will be shared by up to four students in the suite. Bed linens, coin-operated washers and dryers, wireless internet access are provided. Students will eat their meals in the dormitory cafeteria. Three meals Monday–Friday and two or three meals on Saturdays & Sundays are included in the program fee.

Hawaiʻi Island Trip

On the overnight trip to Hawaiʻi Island, students and chaperones will stay in a local hotel in Hilo, Hawaiʻi. Details of location will be provided when available. All meals will be provided.


Male and female UH Mānoa students will be staying in the dorms to supervise the students, with a ratio of approximately 10:1. They will organize special activities for the students in the evenings, they will be available for assistance, and they will ensure that students are complying with dormitory rules.
