Part II of the HR Management Certification Review, this course is for experienced HR practitioners who are planning to take the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification examinations administered by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). Based on the SHRM Learning System, this course provides an overview of the remaining functional areas in human resource management as defined by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI): total rewards, employee and labor relations, and risk management.

Danny Ishii is a Client Services Consultant in the Workforce, Staffing & Development Department of Hawaiian Electric Company. He consults with managers and supervisors on employment and facilitates programs on supervision, civil treatment, and change management. He has over 25 years of human resources management experience, including Director of Human Resources at Hawai‘i Dental Service. Ishii achieved his SHRM certification so that he could facilitate the Human Resource Management certification review program. He is currently the Co-chair of the Professional Development committee for the SHRM Hawai‘i Educational Foundation. He received bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
