Overview of Lean Six Sigma Deployment

Testing at the end of the course is optional and can lead to Yellow Belt certification, fulfilling in part requirements toward Black Belt certification.

Susan Knapp, MEd, SPHR, holds the Black Belt in Six Sigma. She is a certified executive coach who has delivered project management training since 2006, AchieveGlobal training since 2002, and Development Dimensions International training since 1984. Later in 2009, she is scheduled to defend her dissertation and earn her PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Knapp has taught human resource management for University of Southern Maine since 2000 and Lean Six Sigma since 2008. In addition to teaching, she is senior director of human resources for Sweetser (an 800-employee, 40-site behavioral health organization in Saco, Maine), where she has managed the HR functions of employment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, organizational development, HR strategic planning, training, and safety since 1998.
