Need-based Scholarships for Current UH Mānoa Students
If you are a current UH Mānoa student receiving financial aid during the 2016-2017 academic year, need-based scholarships are available. You will have to submit an online application due on April 14, 2017. Click here for the Financial Aid Services website with more information.

First-Year Merit Scholarships
University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Outreach College is pleased to offer a $1,200 merit scholarship to up to 200 first-year UH Mānoa students for Summer Sessions 2017. This award recognizes academically exceptional students who have demonstrated a commitment to completing their UH Mānoa degree in four years.

The $1,200 award is to be applied towards the tuition for a single UH Mānoa Summer Sessions 2017 course. Award recipients will be responsible for any remaining course tuition and costs. Scholarship applications are due on March 31, 2017 (Friday).

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this Summer Sessions 2017 merit scholarship, you must:

  • have been admitted to UH Mānoa as a freshman in the Fall 2016 semester.
  • have 27 or more credits from classes taken at UH Mānoa. (Credits from classes completed by the end of Fall 2016 as well as classes registered for in Spring 2017 as of March 11th will be counted towards these 27+ credits.)
  • have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher as of the end of the Fall 2016 semester. (A student’s cumulative GPA is based on credit courses completed at UH Mānoa.)
  • be registered for at least 3 credits in the Summer 2016 term by March 31, 2017 at 5:00 PM HST.

Sophomore Merit Scholarships
University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Outreach College is pleased to offer a $1,200 merit scholarship to up to 200 sophomore UH Mānoa students in recognition of their academic excellence.

The $1,200 award is to be applied towards the tuition for a single UH Mānoa Summer Sessions 2017 course. Award recipients will be responsible for any remaining course tuition and costs. Scholarship applications are due on March 31, 2017 (Friday).

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this Summer Sessions 2017 merit scholarship, you must:

  • have been admitted to UH Mānoa as a first-time freshman in the Fall 2016 semester and have 54 or more credits including credits from courses registered for in Spring 2017 as of March 11
    OR
    a transfer student (1) martriculated to UH Mānoa in Fall 2016 or earlier (2) with sophomore standing (30-59 credits completed) at the beginning of the Fall 2016 semester, and (3) 54 or more credits including credits from courses registered for in Spring 2017 (i.e., not including registered for in Spring 2017 as of March 11).
  • have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher as of the end of the Fall 2016 semester. (A student’s cumulative GPA is based on credit courses completed at UH Mānoa.)
  • be registered for at least 3 credits in the Summer 2017 term by March 31, 2017 at 5:00 PM HST.
