UP Accommodation and Meals
During the first semester, UP program students are required to stay in UH Conference Housing. Students do not need to submit a housing application; the UP office will handle the application process and payment.
Students will most likely stay in Frear Hall, the newest dormitory on the UH Mānoa campus. Students will have a private bedroom in a unit shared by four persons (same gender). Each unit has shared bathroom facilities.

All students will have a full meal plan for the first semester. This includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Friday, and brunch and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays. Meals may be eaten in Hale Aloha Café or Gateway Café. Both cafeterias offer several "all-you-can-eat" selections for each meal.
Arrival and Departure
Students may check into their dorm room beginning at 2:00 pm on the Friday, Saturday, or Sunday before the semester begins. Students who arrive in Hawaiʻi earlier may stay in a hotel, or may contact the UH Conference Housing office directly to arrange for additional nights in the dorm.
Semester 1 dorm arrangements end on the Saturday after the last day of the program. Students must move out on that day or make their own arrangements with the Conference Housing office to stay longer.
